Sessions are individualized based on an introductory call with the parent/guardian(s). They are adjusted as needed with the progression through the child's academic syllabus and goals.

$130 /Hour

This rate includes the session with your child, preparation time for the teacher, communications with the parent/guardian, travel time, and administration.

Academic Support

Students will bring specific questions from their homework and program studies. We will focus on what they need support with rather than going through everything. If we see an area that is especially difficult, we will create additional activities in order to fill in any gaps in understanding.

Goal Setting

Students will learn about what goals are, why they are important, and how to create attainable goals. Through a consistent framework the students will become more comfortable with creating and reaching goals so that they are able to develop and successfully realize them independently.

Parents/Guardians

We will be a partner in alliance with you in order to help create plans, understand concerns and ideas, problem solve educational challenges, research and make connections based on the child's needs, assist with activities for you to help guide them, and to serve as a sounding board.

Student-Driven

University Preparation

I have spoken with several universities to get an understanding of what they are looking for in a freshman applicant. These are the common items that come up across a variety of types of programs:

- A sufficient high school GPA
- SAT/ACT Test Score, if required
- An engaging personal essay
- How you can demonstrate that you are a well-rounded person
- What impact have you had in your community with the resources that you have available.

With these items in mind, we will work on their academic achievement in the current school setting, test taking skills, writing skills, developing and portraying how they are involved in the community, and what they do with their time. We will identify a focus on an area of study or a program that they are interested in, and I will guide their research in finding schools that fit these (and your) parameters. I will work with them on filling in applications, asking for references, and making sure that all the appropriate paperwork is complete.

Success

Elementary & Middle School Ages

Middle school and elementary students are not yet ready to focus on entry into university or a career path, however there are a lot of areas we can explore to help them be more confident with those decisions once they do get to that point. The program for all ages would include academic tutoring with their classwork and then coaching any areas that parents/guardians and the child and I together as a team decide on. Some of these may include:

- Computer/Social Media Safety
- Emotional Intelligence & Development of Sense of Self
- Curiosity & Exploration
- Communication Skills
- Conflict Management
- Mindfulness
- Manners
- Critical Thinking / Questioning
- Responsibility

In collaboration with the parent/guardian we can find areas of need to individualize this. All areas will be taught through inquiry with the child leading the questions and direction in order to learn through guided exploration and discovery.

Self-Confidence

Equestrian Goals

If your child has a dream to be a professional in the horse world or to improve in a specific area of horsemanship, we will break down these goals to understand what the best route to success is. This will be a personalized exploration based on their big goal. Again, working with inquiry we will map out the different pieces that need to come together in order to have the knowledge and the experience to work their way to this goal. I will be here to help research, network, find programs, and communicate with professionals who can help build a framework for your child’s success. We will work on skills where they will build knowledge for items such as:

- Business & People Management
- Communication & Technology Skills
- Equine & Barn Management
- Equine Therapies
- Riding & Competition

The child will lead the way and I will help to guide in any direction they want to take, bringing in resources or suggesting additional programs as needed.

Balance

Inquiry Based

Research has proven the efficacy of inquiry based learning. Students learn through curiosity. They are more engaged and take ownership of the learning process when they lead the way through their interests and questions. Through teaching in the International Baccalaureate, which is a very successful inquiry based program, I found that students developed a natural love for learning. They are also able to develop their own ideas and opinions, their own worldview, and are more confident in owning their individual thought processes.

Value Driven Goals

Values guide our beliefs, attitudes, and behavior. They help to guide us towards the person that we want to be and aid us in determining what is important in our life. They affect how we hold ourselves to a certain standard, and how we treat and respond to others in our lives. Learning their values, and how they change, help students come into their own and understand who they are, what they are capable of, and how to use the values to keep them focused.

Math & Sciences

I have experience with math and sciences through elementary school and I am able to support up through the middle school years within the tutoring program based on the education system that your child is enrolled in. I ask that the students come to us having tried their homework and bring specific questions or areas to work on. I will be hiring a qualified high school math teacher to assist with upper level mathematics, and if needed I will also hire for science. Please stay tuned as added team members join Stadium Academics.
